Scooter

In Poznań there are electric scooter rentals operated by operators such as Uber/Lime, Bolt or Dott. However, there is an obligation to leave the scooter at Hop&go mobility points, marked with information plates with a blue bubble and the white inscription “Hop&go”. The obligation to leave rented scooters at the points presented above applies to areas covered by the Śródmieście Paid Parking Zone and the Paid Parking Zone, i.e. the Old Town, Jeżyce, Wilda, Łazarz, Ostrów Tumski, Śródka and Piotrów. Failure to leave the scooter at the designated Hop&go point will result in the inability to terminate the rental and the fee will continue to be charged. In locations outside paid parking zones, it is recommended to leave shared equipment at Hop&go points, but this is no longer obligatory.

More information and the locations of Hop&go points can be found on the website of the Municipal Roads Authority in Poznań: Micromobility

Event location

The Polish Theater is a drama theater operating in Poznań since 1875. As part of the Malta Festival, events will take place on the Main Stage and the Malarnia stage.

Entrance to the building

  • The entrance to the theater, both to the Main Stage and to the Malarnia, is from 27 Grudnia street.
  • The entrance to the Main Stage of the Polish Theater is via stairs. Entrance to the Main Stage for people with limited mobility is possible through the side entrance. To use it, please signal it to a service employee wearing a festival shirt and ID badge or use the bell located at the main entrance (next to the stairs) and wait for the service. The side entrance is equipped with a stair lift enabling access to the foyer level.
  • The entrance to the Malarnia of the Polish Theater is from the courtyard (to the left of the main entrance with stairs). It is located straight in front of 27 grudnia street – glass part of the building. The entrance to the Malarnia is on level zero.
  • Tickets will be checked at the entrance to the event by ebilet staff. You can have them with you in electronic or paper version. People who purchased an OzN ticket are asked to take the certificate with them to show it to the staff along with the ticket.

Where is the room where the event takes place?

The Main Stage is located in front of the main entrance. Depending on the purchased seat, the audience staff will direct you to the appropriate door leading directly to the auditorium. Entrance to the auditorium for wheelchair users is possible in two options: either through a door with a low doorstep located on the side of the alternative entrance, but they are narrow because the maximum spacing is 62 cm, or in the case of wheelchairs with a wider spacing, access to the auditorium will be assisted by theater staff through wider doors, behind which there are 3 steps.

The main stairs and the interior of the theater from the Main Stage are well lit.

The space where the event takes place

  •  The space of the Main Stage is approximately 800 m2. The auditorium is equipped with theater seats. Seats are numbered. Seats for wheelchair users are located on the sides of the audience.
  • The Malarnia space is approx. 300 m2. The auditorium is equipped with traditional chairs. Seats are not numbered. There is space for wheelchair users at stage level.

Toilets

  • In the main building of the theater, where the Main Stage is located, there are no toilets adapted to people with disabilities (the width of the doors allows for wheelchair access, it is possible to place a wheelchair next to the toilet bowl, there are no support handles or other adaptations). Additionally, please be careful because the door inside the toilet is glass, which poses a danger to visually impaired people. The toilet can be accessed from the foyer. It is located in front of the main entrance to the theater and to the right of the alternative entrance to the foyer.
  • There is an accessible toilet in Malarnia. It is located on the right side of the entrance to the auditorium.
  • There is also an accessible toilet at Plac Wolności, 200 meters from the theater.
  • Changing room is available at the Family Initiatives Center, 150 meters from the theater. The Family Initiatives Center is located right behind the Cultural Information Center. During the Malta Festival, the Family Initiatives Center is open from Monday to Friday from
    09/09. (Monday): 10.00-19:30
    10.09. (Tuesday): 10.00-18.30
    11.09 (Wednesday): 10.00-18.30
    12.09 (Thursday): 10.00-18.30
    13.09 (Friday): 10.00-18.00

  • The Main Stage is equipped with an induction loop.
  • You can enter the theater with an assistance dog or a guide dog, but please bring a certificate and a current certificate of vaccination for your dog in order to show it to the staff.
