The exhibition (Fe)male, From intimacy to society is characterized by a variety of expressions concerning sexuality and interpersonal relations. The exhibition consists of several cycles of works dominated by graphics in both traditional and digital techniques, however, the exhibition also includes drawings, assemblages and small installations. All works are based on the artist’s ten years of creative experience, who speaks to recipients through various media, documenting personal experiences and deeply felt reflections on sexuality and individual aspects of intimacy.
One of the key themes of this exhibition is to highlight the divided society in which gender and its associated roles are often a source of conflict and misunderstanding. The exhibition (Fe)male, From intimacy to society, through its diverse series, aims to initiate a dialogue on femininity and masculinity, paying particular attention to how these categories affect our everyday lives and interpersonal relationships.
The works on display focus on presenting women not only as the protagonist of events, but mainly as those who comment on reality. The woman shown in the graphics becomes a kind of narrator who, through her gaze and reactions, draws attention to various social phenomena. Some of the works are grotesque in nature, showing the world in a distorting mirror, thus also becoming a tool of social criticism, ridiculing the paradoxes and absurdities of contemporary gender norms.
Other works bring more intimate representations of femininity. Here, the artist explores experiences related to motherhood, sexuality and struggles with her own body. The entire exhibition expresses a deep desire for fair treatment and true education that respects the otherness and value of others. The intimacy of these works makes them an extremely strong emotional message, encouraging reflection on the challenges and expectations that society places before us.
The works attract the audience with their dynamics and complex structure. The artist combines various cultural and symbolic elements here, creating multi-layered images that show the complexity of relations between the sexes.
To sum up, the exhibition ((Fe)male, From intimacy to society) is an extremely important voice in the discussion on sexuality. Through various artistic forms, the artist not only documents her own experiences, but also tries to start a broad debate on the role of gender in society. This exhibition encourages the viewer to reflect more deeply on how social divisions affect our lives and what challenges are associated with striving for gender justice and respect for otherness. Each work, despite its individual character, together creates a message in which the human being and their experiences are at the forefront.
