On September 14, Parov Stelar will perform on the open-air stage by Lake Malta as part of Malta Festival 2024. The concert will be open to everyone and free of charge, providing a unique opportunity to experience a live performance by one of the most respected artists on the electronic scene.
Marcus Fuereder, known by his stage name Parov Stelar, is an artist who gained international recognition as a pioneer of the “Electro Swing” genre. His music, combining unique electronic sounds with swing elements, brought him fame all over the world. Parov Stelar has performed at over 1,000 concerts, including legendary venues such as the PlayStation Theater in New York, the Alexandra Palace in London, and the Zenith in Paris. He has also been a guest at major music festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza.
The artist debuted in 2004 with the EP “Kisskiss” and the album “Rough Cuts”, which immediately caught the attention of the international music scene. Since then, he has released 10 studio albums, one live album, and over 20 EPs, which have strengthened his position in the industry. During his career, Parov Stelar has collaborated with such stars as Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, Marvin Gaye, and Bryan Ferry.
For his achievements, Parov Stelar has received 10 Amadeus Austrian Music Awards, including Best Album and Best Live Performance. His songs have repeatedly topped the charts, and hits such as “The Sun” and “Brass Devil” have reached the top of the iTunes electronic charts in the US. His music has achieved platinum and gold status in several countries, and his songs have been used in advertisements for the world’s biggest brands.
In addition to music, Parov Stelar also paints, which contrasts and complements his musical work. His paintings, often created using traditional painting techniques, are the result of impulse and randomness, which the artist consciously uses in his creative process.
Parov Stelar’s performance at Malta Festival 2024 will be a unique event that will combine art and music, and his extraordinary energy will certainly attract crowds to Lake Malta. That day, the open-air stage will also feature Hollow Coves and L.U.C. & REBEL BABEL with music from the film “The Peasants”.
