The guest of Michał Nogaś will be Amanda Lee Koe. The Singaporean writer made her debut with the short story collection Ministry of Moral Panic (published by Tajfuny, 2020), which became a true sensation in her home country’s literary market. Koe has been praised for her uncompromising language and courage in portraying contemporary Singapore. A scholarship at Columbia University allowed the writer to move to the USA, where in 2019, she published her first novel, Delayed Rays of a Star, which was met with enthusiastic critical acclaim. “The novel’s essence lies in the moral challenges every woman faces and the fine line between fulfilling one’s ambitions and selling one’s soul,” reads a review by NPR.
